WMI Issues. Computers lock up at Logon RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have computers running windows 7. After being on the network for a few weeks, logon issues occur (The user logs on and the computer hangs). If WMI is disabled, there are no issues.

  • Hi,

When the startup hang, did you restart the computer? If so, is there any error message upon starting up?

If any Security software is running, temporary disable it. Also perform a Clean Boot.

  • I usually point to this link, to enable wmi logs.  Any process can do a wmi request.  Maybe uninstall 3rd party software until you see a change?

    I just found this one:
