Distribution Lists RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running exchange 2007 on win2k8 server.  A company is running openldap ldap server.  I would like to  allow exchange users access to the distribution list on openldap ldap server.  Is it possible, in exchange server, connect or define an external distribution lists based on 3rd party ldap servers?

Answers

  • No, there is nothing in Exchange that can be configured to access a 3rd party ldap Server.

  • As far as I know, there isn't any way to achieve that from the server side, but you can access the distribution list on openldap ldap server from Outlook side:

Configure the Address Book for LDAP

    Thanks,

  • No you can't.  Maybe consider creating the in AD? Or synch then with AD if possible.
