Can I run Office XP in Windows 7 Home Premium? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

A computer sales rep has just told me that the only way to install and use my Office XP suite (I have the Professional version) is to get the Window 7 PROFESSIONAL operating systme, run it in XP mode, and then install Office XP.

However, other answers here seem to imply that Office XP will install and run perfectly fine with Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM.

Please let me know which of these answers is correct.  I really have no (other) need for Windows 7 Professional, except for resolving this issue.  To be specific:  I must decide between Windows 7 Home Premium 64, and Windows 7 Professional 64.

(I have read that there might be a problem with using passwords in Outlook, but this doesn't bother me, since I don't use Outlook).

    Thanks.
