Deployment Status Failed - Already installed in the system RRS feed

    Greetings

    When i perform the KB deployment. It shows me the deployment failed error with the Description "The update to be installed is already installed on the client" which is fine.

    Can somebody tell that why its showing under error instead of success. Is this some bug or anything to do with detection method.

    If you are using the application model for the deployment of this KB, then your detection method is indeed not correct. It sounds like it started the installation of the KB and that the installation found out that it was already installed. When your detection method was correct, it wouldn't start the installation of the KB.

    Thanks, but i am deploying KB only through Software updates not application model.

    Can you please advise.

        Are there any errors in the UpdatesHandler.log and UpdatesDeployment.log on your client (PATH:%windir%\CCM\logs) ?
