  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

I want to deploy an image containing Windows 7 x64, Office 2010 Professional Plus x86, Java, Adobe Reader and Flash player and SEP Client. I've made successfully an image containing Windows 7 x64, Office 2010 Professional Plus x86. But I don't know that how to silent install 3rd party apps such as Java, Adobe Reader and Flash player and SEP Client.

    e.g Adobe Reader : msiexec /i AcroRead.msi ALLUSERS=TRUE TRANSFORMS=AcroRead.mst /quiet

    http://www.sysadminlab.net/other/modify-the-installation-of-adobe-reader-for-mdt-sccm-or-other-deployment

Hence , How can I do silent installation settings of the programs such as java , flash player and SEP client?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Basically this is basic application installation understanding. Never heard of entering "setup.exe /?" in a command prompt? Each application has its own silent/unattended application settings.

Next to that there is enough to find on google, http://www.itninja.com/ has enough information about silent / unattended installation. Also the vendor's always provide this kind of information.

So this should get you started!

  • if a third party vendor provides a .msi they will be easy to deploy

take a look at this for msi command line options

if they only provide a .exe take the suggestion of checking if there are any silent install options by typing in setup.exe /? to see what is possible.
