Outlook Calendar Image Display Issue! RRS feed

  • Question

  • Am facing the same issue as described in the thread: Outlook Calendar Event Issues -

whereby images in email body do not appear when email is sent in calendar format.

The issue seem to occur for outlook 2017 version and not 2016 (strangely),

have not tried OWA to determine if the same issue is being faced.

    Any solutions for this...?

  • Hi Joyce,

What do you mean by “Calendar format”?

    >>The issue seem to occur for outlook 2017 version and not 2016 (strangely),

As far as I know, there seems to be no Outlook 2017. Please check the detailed version of Outlook via File > Office Account > About Outlook.

    Have you checked on OWA?

What's your account type? Exchange, POP or IMAP?

You can try opening Outlook in safe mode to see if the issue continues. Please exit Outlook, press Win key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /safe and then press Enter.

Besides, you could also create a new profile to test the results.

Any updates, please feel free to tell me.

    Regards,

    Perry

  • Hi Perry, By calendar format i'm referring to Outlook Function of sending out the email as a calendar (where recipients can then view that event invite in their calendar). Apologies on the lack of technical knowledge. Have checked that outlook version including 2010 and 2013 - both experience the same issue mentioned on my end.

We have tried your suggestion to exit outlook and retry but the same issue occurs. We have created a new profile to retest, but it seems that outlook does not even display clip-art images from the built-in image gallery.

For account type will an older type affect the image display? Have read on a forum an issue encountered where image transparency is reduced, however in our case it does not appear at all.
Thanks alot & look forward to your further updates/suggestions.

  • Hi Joyce,

    Thank you for your update.

Please check on the web mail to see if images display correctly.

Could we know that images don't display in the meeting-invite email body or in the calendar?

Do you have any anti-virus software running on these computers? If yes, please try temporarily closing them to test the results.

According to my research, this issue occurs if a meeting request that's sent from Outlook 2016 is received in Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2010. Please refer to this link to see if this is the case for you.

Hope this is helpful to you.

    Regards,

    Perry
