Operations Manager failed to start a process RRS feed

  • HI,

    We are getting below alerts in SCOM  from most of the hyperV servers in our environment. Can some one help me how to resolve the same.

    The process started at 7:33:59 PM failed to create System.PropertyBagData. Errors found in output:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Monitoring Agent\Agent\Health Service State\Monitoring Host Temporary Files 235\137272\GetDiskPartitionSpace.vbs(60, 5) Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Overflow

    Command executed: "C:\Windows\system32\cscript.exe" /nologo "GetDiskPartitionSpace.vbs" 
    Working Directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Monitoring Agent\Agent\Health Service State\Monitoring Host Temporary Files 235\137272\


    One or more workflows were affected by this.

  • Hi, as I see it's old MP for Hyper-V 2008 where there was no check for deviding by zero (http://www.systemcentercentral.com/research-kb-operations-manager-failed-start-process/), the latest MP but for Hyper-V 2012 R2 don't have such issue. 

    There are some solutions: Try to find a fixed MP, Fix it youself, disable workflows that use module Microsoft.Windows.HyperV.DiskPartitionSpaceProviderDataSourceModule
