Provision user to access the MIM portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have configured MIM 2016 SP1 but can access with own URL as i have done the configuration. Even the domain admin is unable to access that URL (http://xxxx/identitymanagement) also the MIMSyncAdmin.

So what is the appropriate rights i have to assign to user so that the user can access that portal.

Also i am trying with only Test OU. So limited user has been synced with my domain. I tried with those user they are also not able to access the portal.

    Thanks,

    Roshan

  • Hi Roshan,

For a user to access the portal they need the following:

    1. A user object in MIM/FIM with an accountName

    2. The user object must have the domain attribute populated

    3. The domain ObjectSID of the user has to be flowed from AD and back to the user in the portal

The following MPRs also need enabling:

General: Users can read non-administrative configuration resources

User management: Users can read attributes of their own.

Also during the install there was a check box Grant Authenticated Users access to the FIM Portal Site which should have been ticked.

    Hope that helps

    Rob
