Retaining O365 mail from disabled accounts up to one year RRS feed

  • I am curious how you guys handle the following situation:

    Basically if a user is laid off, the user's emails are forwarded to the ex-employee's direct manager for further handling and possible distribution. Some cases, require the need to receive and handle these emails for longer than others. What are our immediate options from within O365 and Azure AD or potentially other 3rd party products? Any feedback would be helpful as I am not really sure what our options are to accommodate this.
