problem with Microsoft Office2016?WORD preview model

Can any one help, when I open up Microsoft Officee2016WORD and type text on the page I can change colour of text and add Pictures nand also borders. On screen I can add PAGE COLOUR say YELLOW but when I print out the page IT PRINTS EVERYTHING B U T the PAGE COLOUR. the details are on a white Page.??
another problem is when I receive An E MAIL and try to print a copy the text only copies the left side of the text??
can any one please help. thank you JOHN DUNN

By default, Word doesn't print backgrounds. This isn't specific to the preview. You can change the option as follows: At least in Word 2013, click File tab | Options | Display. Select the option to "Print background colors and images."

Please check the print preview and consider to update the printer driver.
