Software deployment using Sccm Configuration manager

Question
-
just to deploy using sccm 2012 , do we need to edit the schema , the schema was edited for sccm 2007 once .But unfortunately system crashed .
Is there any changes on schema edition for sccm 2012 . (Still the old stale records of sccm 2007 are present )
Does it cause any problem ?

No there is no schema changes from 2007 to 2012 just make sure your new server has access to the systems management container.

The stale records can cause a problem with older clients. Not with CM12 clients as they can only be assigned to a CM1 RTM site. I would delete the old CM07 records manually.

See http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/7075.system-center-2012-configuration-manager-survival-guide-en-us.aspx#Step-by-Step_Guides, but I prefer training over a step by step document. Why? Because step by steps documents just describe *one* way of installing and configuring ConfigMgr. That might not be the best solution for your company to get the most out of the product.
