Flip3D preview icon not showing correctly after calling DwmSetIconicThumbnail() RRS feed

  • Question

  • In my application I am trying to set a custom preview imagine (on the WM_DWMSENDICONICTHUMBNAIL event) by calling the DwmSetIconicThumbnail() API, and I am able to see the proper image when I hit alt-Tab.

However, when I hit 'Windows key' + Tab it shows the applications assigned icon, rather than the image I provided to DwmSetIconicThumbnail().

I searched around online and can't find any leads to solve this issue. Has anyone used DwmSetIconicThumbnail() successfully such that the proper images shows up in Flip 3D?
