Big problem - cannot open MOM or Forefront consoles RRS feed

  • Hi there,

    I have deployed a 4 server FCS topology.

    This morning I arrived to work and attempted to open the FCS console and saw a a blank console with the error: Exception of trpe "Microsoft.Forefront.ClientSecurity.DatabaseConnectionFailedException" was thrown. Cannot open database "OnePoint" and "The login failed." The user I am using seems to be correct, and I can open RDC sessions using the same user to any server. The database is on a SAN.

    In the event viewer on the collection server, I see many MSSQLServer 18456 events for the momaction and momdas account (which is the same) and for Anonymous Logon. Going back a few days, there were FCSAM 3004 errors and ScsiPrt 5 (initiator failed) and ftdisk 57 (something about corruption being possible.)

    Please can someone help me, I would hate to think something has happened to the DB´s as I have no backups yet :o(

  •  Hmm, I can´t see the volumes on the SAN where the databses are, we are going to check that first. Thanks for your attention.
