how to use powershell to create local account on remote servers and to local admin group for project work RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am new to power shell.  I am looking to use power shell to occasionally  create a local account on remote servers.  Then add the local account to local administrators group.   once my project work is done then I will run a power shell script to delete the local account.   The number of remote servers can be more than 20.  so logging on to each one is tedious.  the servers operating systems are 2008, 2012, and 2016.

  • This should be done via Group Policy.

You can also use the local account management module on PowerShellGet (PSGallery).
