Remove Searchbox from Start Menu RRS feed

    Is it possible to remove the search box from the Vista Start Menu?

    No, there doesn't appear to be any way to remove that box.

  • There is an option. select the windows icon that appear when you click on the search text box. It opens a pop up menu where you can select an option to hide this check box. i am assuming that you are taking about the search box that appers because of installing instant search for outlook. If you want to get rid of searchbox that comes in Vista then there isnt any way. its a handy tool. helps to search items when a lot of programs are installed.
