Calendar integration with WSS 3.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I setup WSS 3.0 calendar so that when I create a new appointment, I can invite individuals?

I'd like it so they get an email from the sharepoint server and if they click accept, it creates the appointment in their Outlook calendar and replys back to me saying they accepted.  Denial would work the same except it won't put it in their personal calendar.

What is the setup on WSS to make this happen?

  • Hi,

Under WSS calendar you will get option Connect to Outlook under actions button.

Select that option and your WSS Cal will connected to Outlook

And to sync it - Under Setting for group "All Accounts," you can define a sync interval by selecting the Schedule an automatic send/receive every x minutes check box and updating the time as appropriate.

  • Hi,

According to your description,  I think you want to set calendar integration with WSS 3.0 on the premise of integration with Outlook 2007.
    please check this blog:

What about Outlook 2003 to WSS 3.0 - when I am adding an option in the calendar in WSS it connects to outlook ok, but it does not show in the shared calendar in Outlook 2003? but it works in Outlook 2007? any ideas apart from using Outlook 2007 how to get around this?
