  • We are currently running SCCM 2012 R2. Is it possible to do a in place upgrade to current branch 1802? Also, can you please point me to some links?

    Yes you can upgrade to 1802, that is a baseline version. For more information check out this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/servers/deploy/install/upgrade-to-configuration-manager 

    Make sure that you read all the pre-reqs as Server 2008 R2 is no longer supported for many Site Sytem Roles in ConfigMgr 1802.

  • Note the OS requirements for the site server and all site systems; this may prevent you from performing a direct upgrade and you may have to upgrade to 1606 first, perform in-place OS upgrades, and then upgrade to 1802. Alternatively, a backup and restore to a new site server while also upgrading the OS on any site systems may work as well.

    Note the SQL Server requirements as well.

    Depending on the versions of these that you have running, you may have a lot of work ahead of you.

  • i made a video for upgrading sccm current branch you can use the same steps , but first check for the requirements for sccm 1802 like the sql version and ADK Version
