FIM email notification - digitally signed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any way we can digitally sign the email sent out by FIM service? We are going use FIM to send out password expiry notification and we would like to digitally sign the emails. Thanks.

  • Hi,

I think you can do to that with the default notification feature in FIM, but you can write your own activity to send notification mails and digitally sign that before sending within the code.

  • As Peter already said you can use a custom workflow to send digitaly signed notifications.

You can create your own custom notification workflow

I've used the following Powershell Workflow Activity to send signed mails in the past. Not very nice but it is working.

  • Do you have a sample powershell script that can digitally sign the email? One of the links above has c# code but I am not sure how to convert the classes to powershell.
