O365 Mobile Apps Prompting for Password and Not accepting.


  • Hi Team,

    We have ADFS3.0 environment and Sync is configured though AAD Connect to support 2 external forests and we have 2 way to trust between the forests as well. We have a issue in accessing O365 mobile apps like outlook, Word and etc through Mobile apps, while accessing the apps, its redirecting to federation url( and prompted for credentials, if we enter the credential, its not accepting the credentials. If we try it in browsers, its working fine. Issue is only with mobile apps both android and IOS device. User tried from both internal and external networks. Same issue occurs. Please help me to resolve the issue. thanks in advance.

  • Hi All,

    We enabled ADFS Debugging trace logs and identified the issue. 

    The error was "'The computer you are signing into is protected by an authentication firewall. The specified account is not allowed to authenticate to the computer"

    Issue has been resolved by adding "Allow To Authenticate" permission granted for the trusted domain Users on the ADFS Service Account.
