FCSAM 3002 error RRS feed

  • Upon restarting the MS FCS service I receive the following error in my system event log:

    Microsoft Forefront Client Security Real-Time Protection agent has encountered an error and failed.
    User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Agent: On Access
    Error Code: 0x80070002
    Error description: The system cannot find the file specified.
    For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

    The client interface looks good.  Last scan is correct, defs/engine are up to date, it even says real time is on.

    Thank you for your post.

     

    Before going any further, I’d like to confirm in which client system that you have installed Client Security agent. If the client computer is Windows XP, do you have kb914882 installed and rebooted?

     

    According to this error code, you may right-clicking on mpfilter.inf(C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\mpfilter_xxxxx) and choose install.
