Project Server Upgrade from 201O to 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We migrated Project Server 2010 to 2013. Everything is working fine except that we don't see any users in the user profile when we try to search them in Central Admin. The permissions are working fine and its conversion to claims is perfect.

We can add users through manage profile but would like to add them in bulk. How best to synchronize the users with active directory as Project server synchronization does not add them to the profile? Would upgrading User Profile Application databases from 2010 to 2013 helps.

  • Hello,

The user profile is separate to Project Server and AD sync in Project Server - this is a SharePoint feature. You will need to set up the User Profile Service for SharePoint and do a profile import.

  • Thanks a lot Paul for the reply. Will the upgrading of User profile Service Application from 2010 help in this! And what would be the best way to import profiles : through Synchronization in Central Admin or some other procedure?
