Windows store apps deployment failed RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Microsoft whiteboard (Windows store app) offline installer downloaded and created an application in SCCM and deployed. But in many machines its failed with error code in Appenforce.log

    Installation failure, error code = 0x80070005 Access denied

    Any suggestions

  • Hi,

    1. That error code 0x80070005 means: Access is denied. Please help check the access and permissions.

    2. May we know how do you install the application, on a per-user basis and for a non-admin? On the User Experience page of Deployment Type, please help change the Installation behavior to Install for system to have a try.

    3. Please also help check if your AV policies are getting in the way.

    The issue is not related to AV or deployment method.

    I used this link to check the basics

    But the error code is not listed.

    Event viewer as per above blog is reporting a different error

    Deployment operation failed for package Microsoft.Whiteboard_20.10420.5064.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe with error 0x80070005. The specific error text for this failure is: Deployment Stage operation with target volume C: on Package Microsoft.Whiteboard_20.10420.5064.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe from:  (Microsoft.Whiteboard_20.10420.5064.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx)  failed with error 0x80070005.
