Custom master page for extended site RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am using sharepoint 2010, i created new publishing site and i extended the same for intranet.

    but here i want to use different master page for my extended site. i tried a lot, but no solution.

    Please help me out.

  • You need to write an event handler for the page class that each page inherits from.  You have to put code in the OnPre-Init event as I remember to change the master page reference based on the Http request.

  • When you extend a web application in SharePoint you share the content database.  The settings for the web page are part of that database, so there is no easy way to have a different master page for the same site in different extended zones.
