Technical preview 5 2016 - nested vitualization RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I'm experimenting with KVM virtualization inside HyperV machines. I've tried a few distros and <g class="gr_ gr_237 gr-alert gr_tiny gr_spell gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace" data-gr-id="237" id="237">i</g> get the same recurrent error about KVM module not loaded.

Is this something that we can try (using KVM inside HyperV machines)?

    Thanks

  • Well from Run Hyper-V in a Virtual Machine with Nested Virtualization "Both hypervisors (parent and child) must be running identical Windows builds (10565 or later)." So no mention of KVM, so not sure what mileage you will get out of that.

  • Hi Cesar,

I'm afraid I could not find any related documents about running KVM on Hyper-V.

I suppose the issue is more related to KVM, you could contact their technical support for help:

    Best Regards,
