  • I am getting this error while launching IE on my computer:

    The ordinal 139 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll

    I have IE 11 installed on windows7 32 bit.

    Unfortunately we no longer have the DLL Help Database and I'm not sure if it even gave us ordinals or just symbolic entry points.  In any case you would need to use a tool such as DependencyWalker to find out whether your iertutil.dll had such an ordinal.

    FWIW assuming the 139 is decimal my iertutil.dll has that in W8.1.2.  File Version 11.0.9600.17496.  Entry point 0x00044F80.

    When does this error start to occur? Check Event Viewer and see if we could find any other messages.

    Take a try with the SFC command:

    Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

    Further, try the following if SFC won't help:
