Best way to add Food to HealthVault RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, Can anyone suggest the best way to add Food to HealthVault? Microsoft seems to making this process more and more complex by adding functionality, then taking it away. I use to use Bing Health and Fitness, which worked well, but now with the Health app coming out, they seemed to have removed most functionality. I don't understand why they would drop functionality on an app without a suitable replacement. If food tracking is coming to the Health app, why not leave the ability to track through the Health and Fitness app until it is added to the Health app? It also seems that the Fitbit app no longer syncs their food log with HealthVault. I just wish Microsoft would wait to drop working parts of the system until they have a replacement. They always seem to do this when they are transitioning things. "Well, were going to make things better, but while we do, lets break everything you guys are use to". Doesn't make any sense. They did the same thing with Zune/Xbox music. Sorry for the rant, but I've been dealing with the same business model for 4+ years ever since Win Phone 7 came out. It's a never ending cycle of taking things away while they "upgrade". Frustrating. Anyway, do any of you still use Fitbit to track food or have any other suggestions?

  • Hello,

Thanks for your feedback on the food tracking feature, we will pass that information onto the HealthVault development team.  As for the issue with Fitbit, I have contacted them and they would like you to contact them directly about this issue by going to this location (http://help.fitbit.com/?cu=1).

    Thanks
