I have a Dell PowerEdge T110 II Server running Windows Server 2008 r2 and the only video resolution available is for a "square" screen aspect ratio. I purchased a Nvidia Quadro 600 video card since it was one of only a few that listed compatibility
with Win Server 2008 R2.
I have tried several releases of the drivers (for this card for Win Server 2008 r2) from Nvidia's website with no luck. The install never completes with an error stating that the installer failed installing the graphics driver on the most recent release
of the driver. On previous releases, it says it could not find compatible hardware.
I tried to shut down and install the card first, but when I start the machine back up, no video comes to the screen, no matter which card the monitor is plugged into.
It seems that always is the video driver issue, please double confirm the video hardware driver, base on my experience, some server need configure the BIOS before you install the new video card, such as disable the orgional video card option.
