outlook 2007 slow with signed e-mails RRS feed

  • We have recently upgraded to outlook 2007 and noticed that there is a performance issue with signed e-mails.  Is there a setting that will help speed up this process?

    It is checking the certification. You may install the new cumulative update?

    The certification has to get checked to make sure it has not been revoked (because it expired or was voided).  The point of the cert is to have some independent 3rd party validate the identity of the sender.  Certs don't self-identify themselves.

  • Sorry I haven't had time to test this but is there a way to have outlook cache the certs so it doesn't have to access activeclient each time?
