Problem using Hadoop like data source

  • I'm trying to connect my Power Query with Hadoop data.

I can see a list of my hadoop files but when I click on "Binary"

    I have this error message.

The hadoop source that I use is  "Hortonwoks Sandbox 2.0 on Virtual Box"

    Where did I wrong?

I'm using office pro 2013 and Power Query standalone 1.5.3692. I'm not using proxy.

    Help me please.

  • Are you sure you've enabled WebHDFS on the sandbox? It is possible that external incoming connections are blocked - as it seems per the error message.

  • Could you explain the resolution in detail. Because I have checked WebHDFS and it is enabled fine. I am still having the same issue. Please advice.

    Error Details : -

DataSource.Error: HDFS cannot connect to server 'localhost'. Unable to connect to the remote server.

This is the error I am getting when I click on "Binary" on power query. Awaiting for your response.
