Can't uninstall an inoperable Windows Live Mail App RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I have a Surface Pro 3. The Microsoft Windows Live Mail App is inoperable with a message that it can't be opened and needs repaired. It show light blue with the number of emails that have come in but will not provide access to those emails. When I right click on the tile, uninstall is not an option provided, only pin to start or turn off live tile. I am directed to the Windows Store that does not provide me ability to reinstall since "this app is installed". I can't open it to get my mail, can't uninstall, can't find a way around that to install. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials, a suite of free programs for photos, movies, instant messaging, and more. The programs are downloaded together, but can be uninstalled separately.

How to uninstall/repair Windows Live Mail.
