FSLOGIX rule editor can't resolve nested AD groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we have the problem that assignments to active dirctory groups from sub-domains cannot be resolved and processed by the rule editor. When we select "entire directory" as location for a new query for an ad reporting, we get the following error message

if anyone has an idea let us know, thanks

    Kind Regards

    Steffen

  • Good day and welcome to the MSDN Forums Steffen,

The English MSDN forums migrated to the new interface named QnA:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/answers

In the new interface, start a new question and select the relevant tags - tags are like "forum" here. As much as I understand from your description, use the tag "windows-active-directory" in the new forum

    Good luck

  • This happens when multiple nested AD groups are used to assign access to Citrix applications and desktops. This is not recommended by Citrix.

  • Troubleshoot Common FSLogix Issues
Check the log files, and status, reason and error codes.
Make sure that the user has read permissions on the C:\Users\Default folder.
Check that a roaming or Remote Desktop Services profile has not been set for the user.

    Regards,
    Peter
