  • Hello Marc!

I hope that you have original Vista installation DVD. Try to boot DVD and choose language, time and keyboard. After you click "next", hit option "repair your computer" which is in left down corner. Now, you can try one of the following: "start repair" (Windows will try to resolve problem by itself); or "system restore" (which will restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time; before you apply problematic update) or maybe you decide to use Vista Compete PC Restore. Naturally, you need original Backup image (if you make it sometime in a past) to apply 3rd option.

Please, let me know if those solutions was ok.

    Best regards,

  • Hello St.Igor
    Thanks for your help
I tried option 1 and 2 without succes , during the procedure i've got a blue screen , so i decided to start from scratch and
(i think that the inital cause where  some bad clusters on the HD . before i started to reinstall vista i did a check on the HD with Norton disk doctor and he found several bad clusters .
