BugCheck E4, vmswitch.sys - Hyper V Windows Server 2012 R2

    Question

  • Dear Partner,

    We have unexpected shutdown Sever 2012 R2 with following,

    Hp Drivers latest update.

    Windows Update was 29/04/2017.

    We installed McAfee Agent .

    Dumpfile :

    BugCheck E4, {1, ffffe80064a4d130, 1, 0}

    Probably caused by : vmswitch.sys ( vmswitch!RndisDevHostQueueWorkItem+34 )

    WORKER_INVALID (e4)
    A executive worker item was found in memory which must not contain such
    items or a work item was queued that is currently active in the system.
    Usually this is memory being freed.  This is usually caused by
    a device driver that has not cleaned up properly before freeing memory.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000000001, Queuing of active worker item
    Arg2: ffffe80064a4d130, Address of worker item
    Arg3: 0000000000000001, Queue number
    Arg4: 0000000000000000, 0
    The Microsoft hotfix is installed :

    Please note the VMQ is disabled .

    I want t know the root case ?
