Lync Telephone devices restaring everytime RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We are experiencing problem with our Lync telephone devices that restarts every time with the error ( bad request or bad sounds then restart). The event error that is showing on the Lync server (SBA) is the following:

    Multiple invalid incoming certificates.

In the past 13 minutes the server received 1 invalid incoming certificates. The last one was from host "name"

Cause: This can happen if a remote server presents an invalid certificate due to an incorrect configuration or an attacker.

    Resolution:

No action needed unless the number of failures is large. Contact the administrator of the host sending the invalid certificate and resolve this problem.

We have a centralised pool where all the telephones are registering and the separate Exchange Unified Server.

    Regards

    Jean

  • Hi Jean.com,

Would you please tell us if it is successfully with the latest update of the IP phone?

If the issue persists, you can check as following:

Please also make sure your SFB server  and client with the latest update.

Please check DHCP 43 and 120 option.

For these issued IP Phones try to reset them and then test again.

As the issue just happen for SBA IP Phone users, you can try to change the register to the SBA Server for these IP Phones and then test again.

    Best Regards

  • The firmware version is 8.8.3.18

The problem is only on the hand sets and users that are using headphones and Lync client are not affected. It seems the telephones are struggling to register on the server.
