  • Hello,

    When I try to change the local administrator password in a Windows XPSP3 client using Ctrl+Alt+Supr is not possible and get a notification with:

    It is not possible to change the password of this account currently.

    Why this happen? Could somebody help me?

  • To change the Administrator password in Windows XP
     
    1. Log on to the computer using the Administrator account.

    2. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts. The User Accounts dialog box opens.

    3. In User Name, select the account that you want to change, and then click Reset Password. In New password, type a new password, and inConfirm new password, retype the password, and then click OK.

  • Hello Carey,

    Using your method is possible to change the password, but I don`t understand why is not possible using Ctr+Alt+Supr (it is strange).
