Install window 10 ver 1607 from 1511 through WSUS RRS feed

    I would like to know if is possible to upgrade Windows 10 to version 1607 from 1511 through wsus

  • Yes it is possible if you have 2012 WSUS server. If your WSUS is 2008R2 forget it.

    you will need to apply a KB patch prior to doing it. And you need to pay close attention to the manual part of it or it will stop WSUS from working

    As dubsdj-MCITP has mentioned, it is possible if you use WSUS 4.0 with KB3095113 and KB3159706.

    While it seems there is something not smooth, some customers have difficult making WSUS clients detect Win10 anniversary update from WSUS server. However, during my test, win10 clients can detect and upgrade to 1607 successfully with WSUS 4.0(server 2012 and server 2012R2).
