DLLHOST Surrogate virus? RRS feed

  • Question

  • The other day, my machine started to take off.  After some reviewing, I noticed that the system was spinning off the dllhost surrogate was spinning up processes, eating large amounts of memory and bringing my system to it's knees. I also noticed that my security level was diminished where I can no longer download anything without a dialogue box popping up telling me I don't have the proper security level.

I've run MS Essentials but it is not detecting anything.

The only thing I can do is continuously delete the dllhost processes that spin up.  About 13 or so.

I can't find any malware/virus, but I need to fix this.

    Suggestions?
