  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have implemented CAC and facing below issue. Below are the details related to 3 sites.

Site A - Limited to 15 audio and 4 video calls

Site B - Limited to 3 audio and 1 video call

Site C - Limited to 7 audio and 2 video calls.

Say for an example if Site A has already taken 4 audio and 2 video calls, and adding site B for a video call at that moment Site B is having only one audio call so altogether site B has taken two audio and one video call.

Then Site A person tries to add site C as the third person and this is also a video call. At this particular time Site C is already having two audio calls and one video call. But we are unable to add site C and make this call a conference call.

What is the reason ? if we remove CAC policy for site B this scenario works fine. Its true that Site B has already utilized its allowed video call but  we were under the impression that if it is a Conf call that CAC doesn't get applied. Please explain.

    Thanks...

  • Call admission control does apply to conference calls as well as point-to-point calls.  Conference call audio/video streams are not excluded from CAC calculations.
