wsus - p'sc not pulling down updates RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, My plan is to use Solarwinds patch Manager with WSUS. I have not done anything with Solarwinds patch Manager yet. I am just trying to get WSUS working.

I installed WSUS 3.2.7600.226 with the following updates WSUS-KB2530678-x64 and WSUS-KB2720211-x64. I have configured Group Policy set to Enable Client-side targeting. See attached image for settings.

I finally got my pc's to show up in WSUS and it says installed/not applicable percentage 97%.

When I look at Updates, Security Updates and click in one of them it says "The files for this update have not yet been downloaded. The update can be approved but will not be available to commuters until the download is complete"

I have uninstalled and re-installed WSUS several times same results...

On the pc I ran "wuauclt.exe /detect now" and no updates ever get pulled down. I never see a shield on the pc??

Any suggestions? Did the updates never download?

    thX!
