Claim Rule: Merge multivalued attribute into one string RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

Do you know if it is possible to transform an incoming multivalue attribute from AD into a single string by defining any given delimiter?

Assuming the attribute has values [A; B; C] as an array, I want to tranform it into a string like "A,B,C".

    Thanks Sebastian

  • Do they always have the same number of value? Is the value predictable? Part of a set of possible values? Do the values have special character in them like "?" or "!"?

  • Hi Pierre,

    thanks, for your reply.

The number of values can be different for each user and the content isn´t predictable.

The values include 5 digit numbers without letters and special characters.

  • Then there is no rule that can do that. Ultimately a custom attribute store? But that's a lot of work...

Maybe you can store the information differently or have the application consuming the token parse the claim...
