Removing VD from Test computer

    Question

  • Hello,

Some time ago I played with Virtual disks for VM on my computer and created a couple. Now I am wandering what is the right way to unmount or delete these VDs. Can I simply delete it in order to free up my disk?

    Thank you in advance.

  • If you're no longer using them you can just delete the VHD(x)

  • Hi Sir,

If you don't need these VMs , you can delete them in hyper-v manager .

Before that , you may check if you can find the vhd file location , because delete the VM won't remove vhd files .

To get the file path , you may open vm settings:

    Best Regards,
