Error 1053

Question
-
Hello,
I am getting the following error when I am trying to start a specfic service "Windows could not start the XXXXXXXXX Service on Local COmputer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" The service was working before and failed upgrade to the product and a fialed rollback. Another service from the same vendor works as well do other services to start and stop. I have also rebooted the server and checked to see if the service account was locked out. All are not. I also cannot locally start the service with that selection option chosen. Any help would be much apperciated, thanks!

I'd get in touch with the vendor to trouble shoot.

I have found the answer to this problem. It was a vendor specific problem that was solved by repairing the install. The service then came back up and we had no issues after that. thanks everyone!Monday, July 7, 2014 4:11 PM
