SCCM client components installed - not enabled RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I've been looking for my problem online for a few hours now, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I have a 2008 r2 server in a workgroup, IP is 10.55.0.112, where I recently installed the SCCM client. It showed in the SCCM console as Not Approved, after I added the DNS suffix in the network and sharing center, and in the site tab on the client, where I also entered the site code.

I could at this time see missing information in the General tab of the client such as the assigned management point and the site code. I approved it, and this was suddenly displaying in the General tab. Site code, management point, client certificate and so on is at the moment OK.

It looks as all the components are installed, but only one is disabled, which is the CCM Notification Agent.

    ClientLocation.log shows

  • Hi,

From the log files it looks like Everything is OK, a workgroup client will not be able to Query the AD for a site membership and workgroup clients must be approved manually if you don't change the Site setting to "Automatically approve all clients"

what is not working on the client now?

    regards,
    Jörgen
