• Question

  • A simple question... If I enable NAP with UAG Direct Access (running SP1 so I'm letting UAG do the NAP config directly on the UAG-server), does the NAP-rules only apply to the users connecting through Direct Access and in no way effecting users connected directly to the corporate network?

  • Hi

If your DirectAccess infrastructure use the HRA located on the edge server, only DirectAccess clients connected on the Internet will be impacted by NAP. If you use a HRA located inside your network, DirectAccess clients located on your LAN will be able to reach it. Can can reconfigure NPS connection policy used by NAP to limit DirectAccess to IPv6 address. You can also use multiple HRA in NAP configuration. One will be reachable outside, other one will be reachable by inside computers.
