cannot edit user -project server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have one user account on project server 2010 that I cannot edit - all fields are grey.

I there is a message at the top of the window that is as follows:

"The following resource(s) could not be checked
    out:
The following resource is already checked out to you in a different session: <users name>"

I have tried everything to clear this condition including restarting project server.

All other users are OK - I can edit as needed but this one user is locked and I cannot seem to find a way around it.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    thanks,

  • Hi Greg,

You don't mention whether or not you tried to check in the user. If you haven't:

Server Settings > Force Check-in Enterprise Objects

Select "Enterprise Resources" in the dropdown

Select the user and click "check-in"

  • That solved the problem.

Thanks for the quick response - this is my first dive into project server so there is a learning curve for sure.

    thanks,

I got the same problem with Project Server 2010, already did the procedure about "Force Check-in" but when the user comes to check out the Project it comes again the message about “The following resource is already checked out to you in a different session”.

What else can i do for resolving this issue?
