DPM 2012 Exchange 2010 DAG Log files not truncation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

Hopefully This is the correct forum for this question.

We have a installation 0f DPM 2012 for backing up our exchange 2010 installation (10 db's).  I recently noticed that log files are not truncationg after backup.  I dont see any error message but there information message in the application log on the passive node for each DB.

The DPm server reorts that the express full backup sucessfully completed at 8:00 PM the previous night.

Help figuring out this problem is appreciated.

  • Make sure you have configured it to FULL backup not copy backup. Re-protect it in protection group, have a look on below forums :

Thanks that worked on 9 out of the 10 DB's

I have one that is now timing out not backing up or truncating files when running the consistency check due to the number of the logs (225K+)

    Replica creation failed

Data consistency check timed out for LOGS of exchange mailbox dtabase DB04  ID 30208

it ran for 25 hours , the db and logs are around 450GB in size.

Not sure were to go from here.
