Restoring Exchange 2003 with DPM 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When restoring Exchange 2003 data older than the last recovery point, the only available option is to a network drive.

My assumption is to walk through the DPM recovery wizard up to the 'Specify Destination' screen, note the folder to be created by DPM 2010 (Example- Ex_DPM_10-12-2010_12.0.16) then create this folder structure (including sub folders which also includes path of original Exchange data) in the RSG folder to allow DPM to restore data which can then be mounted in the RSG without having to copy data around. Is this correct? Seems very clunky but the only available option.
