Incremental Content Deployment job failure in MOSS 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are running incremental job for one site collection which is happening between two MOSS 2007 farms. Recently we deleted one sub site from the source site collection without removing that site from the incremental job. After that when we tried to run that job, it is getting failed with the error message - "Content deployment job '<<jobname>>' failed. The exception thrown was 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException' : 'The object /in that was configured as part of the Export Settings no longer exists.'". So we decided to remove that site from the job but when we edit that job it is not showing that site but in Edit Content deployment job page we are seeing the site entry i.e. /in under " Specific sites within the site collection" option.

Kindly let me know how we can remove the deleted site entry from the job setting.

  • Hi Saravanan.T,

please let us know more detail how you remove the site, "we deleted one sub site from the source site collection without removing that site from the incremental job"...

for the orphaned configuration object please take a look at this site:

but please be reminded, that any changes on the database directly is a very tough issue to solve, for more information please have a check in this kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841057

  • Hi,

    1. have you tried deleting the same subsite on the target farm?

    2. have you tried running a full content deployment job?

    best regards
