Genuine Advantage Failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Starting earlier today, a number of our Windows XP SP3 workstations started failing their Windows Genuine Advantage checks. There appears to be a problem related to time synchronization. We've validated that the date and time are set correctly on these workstations. This appears to be an issue at the Microsoft end.

Here's an example log from MGADiag:

  • Just called Microsoft Premier Support for this same issue.  I was told that they have had other reports and are escalating it to the WGA team.

  • Ditto. System and BIOS times are correct. When you try to validate through the web site, the Active X control loads but then it goes to a blank screen.
