Errors: occasionally photos are rotated when I open Word 2000 documents using Word 2010 RRS feed

    I have a lot of Word documents created with Word 2000, with many digital photos in them.  When I open the documents in Word 2000, a few of the photos (<1%) will be rotated 180 degrees for no apparent reason.  And I couldn't rotate photos in Word 2000, so that should not be the source of any problems.

    I have to scan through the document, find any photos that are upside down, rotate them 180 degrees.  I would LOVE not to have to scan through 30-page files every time I open them up on my new computer as I have many, many such files from years of doing technical manuals for museum exhibitions.

    Hi,

    The files created in previous Word version will be opened in Compatibility Mode in Word 2010. I would suggest you try converting the file to new type (.docx) by using Save As in Word 2010. Then please open the new file to check the photos. Does the issue occur this time?
